About this event

Join the Tiger Squadron for a weekend of formation flying, good food and drink, camaraderie and buffalo burgers at Catalina Island!

Arrivals will be on Friday, February 11th in the late afternoon in time for a gourmet dinner at Tiger Headquarters. Saturday dinner will be hosted at Craig and Hanne Ekberg's home overlooking the Pacific Ocean and Catalina Island.

Serious flying will be all day on Saturday and Sunday with a lunch flight to Catalina Island on Sunday.

If you do not have a FAST card you will be contacted in advance of the event to discuss your formation experience and training needs. All pilots will be expected to have a thorough familiarity with the RPA Formation Manual.

Ground transportation will be provided. Park at transient at the base of the tower.

The Super Bowl TFR at SoFi Stadium is scheduled for Sunday beginning at 1430hrs. All Departures will occur prior.

Breakfasts are at the hotel or on your own.
Catalina Island landing fee is not included but we will try to get them waived again.

Spouses are invited to attend.

Those wishing to stay locally Friday and Saturday evening can book rooms at the Ramada Motel which is walking distance from the airport. A 20% room discount is available for Red Star Pilots Association guests.
